Julie is a scientific thinker who is brilliant with coaching others using Toyota Kata. I engaged Julie as my Toyota Kata Coach for a period of 8 weeks, while I worked on 2 consecutive challenges. One of Julie’s strengths is her ability to guide her learners to the discovery of key process and outcome data, and then help her learners understand how to visualize that data to spot meaningful trends. Julie’s second biggest strength is her uncanny ability to ask just the right questions to allow a learner to begin to see and hear their own thinking. My coaching sessions with Julie were often short; sometimes as quick as only ten or fifteen minutes. But in that brief time, she was always able to help me see how to propel forward to my next step, and how to spot assumptions that were impacting my thinking. My scientific thinking grew by leaps and bounds under Julie’s supportive and watchful eyes. And I achieved more than I had believed was possible by learning to identify and release assumptions and make decisions based on evidence. If you need to develop your own agility as a scientific thinker, if you need to be able to innovate and operate in an environment of ambiguity, I can assure you that Julie can help.
